1002 Ghosts

112 pages
Catrina and Carolina are inseparable twins, secret sharers. Inspired by their mother, a renowned stage actress, they spend their free time video making, writing and rehearsing the plays they post in their Youtube channel: Twins on stage.

However, some evening, when they are putting on make-up for their recordings, the girls witness a horrifying scene: a pale woman is floating outside their bathroom window on the tenth floor of their apartment building. Not only that, the lady screams in the most dreadful voice they ever heard.

After this event, the relationship between the twins starts to change. Carolina starts acting weirdly, singing haunting, unknown songs all night through, drawing sinister images, and, for the first time, she keeps secrets from her sister.

Although adults do not notice her unusual behavior, Catrina knows there is something off about her sister now. And she realizes it certainly has to do with the uncanny apparition. Not knowing who to talk to, Catrina ends up finding a newspaper add about the 1002 Ghosts, an ancient society based upon letter exchange. Writing to them seems to be her only hope.

When she starts exchanging letters with her new friends, and all of them have already experienced supernatural experiences, Catrina finds out about the realm of the Ghost Keepers, the benevolent invisible friends, not only that as she will be able to solve mysteries related to an old, traditional theater. Empowered by her discoveries she will stand up to a shady, evil minded lady that orbits around her family, but, above all, she will learn how art and imagination can bond people in the scariest moments of their lives.

This thrilling narrative is told through letters, such as in 1001 Ghosts. New readers will have a great time by merging in this fantastic universe for the first time, whereas 1001 Ghosts previous readers will meet again their favorite characters and find out about their past and, of course, their future!
